A lot of sales and support work still comes down to a phone call. Before it, someone looks the customer up in the CRM. After it, someone is supposed to log what was said. When the phone lives inside the CRM, both steps take care of themselves: the agent dials from the record, and the call is written back to it when they hang up.

None of this is new. Softphones built into CRMs are a familiar part of how sales and support teams work, and most leading CRMs let you choose the telephony provider behind them. Vobiz is now one of those choices.

Vobiz integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, Freshdesk, ServiceNow, Pipedrive, ClickUp and Expedify. Your team keeps working in the CRM it already knows. Vobiz provides the phone numbers and carries the calls.

Here's what these integrations let your team do, what Vobiz brings as your telephony provider, and where to find each integration's setup guide.

What a softphone in your CRM can do for your team

A softphone in your CRM takes care of the everyday calling work: dialling from the record, knowing who's calling, logging the call and keeping the recording beside it. Each CRM handles these a little differently, so here's what each Vobiz integration covers.

Call from the record you're already looking at

Open a contact, deal, ticket or incident, click the number, and the call starts in your browser. No second device and no copying digits between tabs. When a call comes in, the integration looks the number up, so the agent sees who is calling before they say hello.

Available in: Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, Freshdesk, ServiceNow, Pipedrive and Expedify for dialling from the record. Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, Pipedrive and ClickUp identify the caller as the phone rings.

    Calls that log themselves

When the call ends, it's saved to the record in the form that CRM expects: a completed Task in Salesforce, a call on the HubSpot contact, a comment on the Zendesk ticket, an interaction in ServiceNow, an Activity and Call Log in Pipedrive, a task in ClickUp. Nobody has to remember to log it, and the history is complete when the next person opens the record.

Available in: every integration except Freshdesk, where ticket logging is on the roadmap.

Recordings and transcripts beside the conversation

Vobiz records the call and the integration places a playback link where the team will look for it: on the call log, the ticket or the work notes. Links are signed and short-lived, so a recording shared in a ticket can't be replayed indefinitely. Zendesk can also add an AI transcript to the ticket as a private note, and Expedify transcribes the Vobiz recording when transcription is switched on.

Available in: Zendesk, ServiceNow, Pipedrive and ClickUp put recordings on the record. HubSpot and Freshdesk play them inside the calling panel.

From the call to what happens next

Some calls need a colleague; most need a follow-up. In Pipedrive, agents can mute, hold and transfer while the customer is still on the line. In ClickUp, every call becomes a task that can be assigned, picked up by automations and counted on dashboards. Both also have a backfill command that syncs calls made outside the softphone, so the record isn't missing anything.

    Available in: Pipedrive and ClickUp.

A local number for every market

Any number on your Vobiz account can be the caller ID. If your customers are spread across countries, your reps can call each of them from a local number.

    Available in: all eight integrations.

Reps and AI agents on the same line

Expedify has its own AI calling agents built in. With Vobiz connected, those agents and your reps share one connection, one caller ID and one set of call records.

    Available in: Expedify.

Why the telephony provider behind your CRM softphone matters

From the agent's side, most CRM softphones look much the same, because the CRM decides how calling works on screen. The telephony provider decides everything the agent doesn't see: which numbers you can get and how fast, where you can call from a local number, what you can find out when a call goes wrong, and how much compliance work lands on your team. That's why the provider you pick matters. Here's what you get with Vobiz.

    • Numbers when you need them. Search, buy and attach numbers yourself from the Vobiz Console or API. Local, mobile and toll-free numbers are available in 130+ countries, including India's 140-series and 160-series.
    • A platform you can start on yourself. Sign up, get your API credentials and place a test call the same day, with no sales cycle in between.
    • A local presence in every market. Any number on your account can be the caller ID, so each customer can see a local number when you call.
    • Visibility into every call. Each call produces a detailed record with 43 fields, including quality metrics such as MOS, jitter and packet loss, and which side hung up. When a call goes badly, you can see why. Records can be searched, filtered and exported as CSV.
    • Recordings, notes and transcripts. Recordings are linked from the call log, ticket or work notes through signed, short-lived links. Transcripts are added in Zendesk and Expedify.
    • Compliance taken care of. Local regulatory requirements, including India KYC, are handled in your Vobiz account.
    • Credentials that stay off the browser. Your Vobiz Auth Token lives on a backend you control and never reaches the agent's browser.
    • One provider for people and AI. The same Vobiz account that powers your CRM calling also connects to voice AI platforms such as Vapi, Retell AI and ElevenLabs, should you build a voice agent later.

CRM integrations that work with Vobiz

Eight integrations are available today. Each one is built on the calling framework its CRM provides, so the details differ: most need a small backend you host, while Expedify sets up from a panel with no code. Each integration page covers setup, requirements and FAQs.

    Getting started

Pick your CRM from the table, open its integration page and follow the setup guide. You'll need a free Vobiz account and at least one number, and both take minutes to set up.

Once your team is calling, tell us how it goes. What works, what's missing and what gets in the way all feed into how we improve these integrations.

Using a CRM that isn't on the list? Ask your CRM provider to add Vobiz as a telephony option; requests from customers carry real weight with them. Then let us know which CRM you use, so we can ask too.
