Welcome to Vobiz
Vobiz is telephony infrastructure built for AI agents. It gives you programmable voice, instant numbers and two-way SIP through APIs you can wire up in an afternoon, which is what turns your Agora agent into something anyone can call from any phone.

Vobiz Agent Skills
Work through the five steps in order. Steps 1 to 3 take about fifteen minutes and cover your credits, your prize entry and the tooling you will need on hand. Steps 4 and 5 are the build itself: install the tooling, then wire Agora to a real phone number.
Claim your free credits
Every hackathon team gets Vobiz credits to spend on numbers, trunks and call minutes. Set up your account first so nothing blocks you once you start building.
- 1
Create a Vobiz account
Sign up with your work or college email. It takes under a minute. The hackathon tier needs no card.
- 2
Claim the hackathon credits
Log in through the hackathon link, not the standard sign-in page. That link tags your account to this cohort. Credits only apply to tagged accounts, so use it even if you already have a Vobiz login.
- 3
Copy your Auth ID
In the Console, go to Settings, then API Credentials. Your Auth ID and Auth Token authenticate every Vobiz API call, sent as the X-Auth-ID and X-Auth-Token headers. Keep the Auth ID somewhere handy, as the prize entry form asks for it.
- 4
Find a Vobiz member
Vobiz is at the Build with Agora buildathon all day, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM at the Paytm office in Noida. Look for the Vobiz table — we are the ones in black polo t-shirts with the Vobiz logo. Come to us for trunk setup, credit top-ups, or a second opinion on your architecture. That is faster than debugging alone.
Follow, post, win
Everyone who stops by the Vobiz table walks away with something, so come say hello. Beyond that, three people take the full merch drop plus Vobiz credits.
Vobiz merch drop
Three winners take the full kit, every piece the team carried to the event.
$100 in Vobiz credits
For the three winners, on top of the merch.
Goodies for everyone
Come by the booth and nobody leaves empty-handed.
Follow where Vobiz builds
RequiredStar and follow the Vobiz GitHub org, subscribe on YouTube, and follow on X and LinkedIn. This is the entry ticket; the tasks below multiply your odds.
Engage on LinkedIn
Post about what you are building, tagging both Vobiz and Agora. Use the template below, and swap the last line for your actual build. Copy the URL of your post, because the form asks for it.
Ready-to-post text
I'm building on Vobiz x Agora at Build with Agora today. Wiring my conversational AI agent to a number instead of leaving it stuck in a browser tab. Curious to see how it holds up on an actual call. Here's what I'm making: [describe your build]
LinkedIn cannot prefill a working @mention from a link. Paste the text, then type @Vobiz and @Agora in the composer so the tags resolve to the real pages — pasted tags are plain text and notify nobody.
Post about what you are building, tagging @vobiz_ai and @AgoraIO, and keep the link. Swap the last line for your actual build. A screenshot is optional, but it makes you a lot easier to remember when we pick winners.

Submit your entry
RequiredPaste your Auth ID and every link you collected into the entry form. Each completed task is one more slot in the draw. Do all three and you are in there three times.
Submit your Auth ID only. Your Auth Token is a secret — it is the password half of the pair, and Vobiz will never ask for it in a form, a DM, or at the booth.
More steps completed means better odds, so finish what you can. Your Auth ID is how we match an entry back to your Vobiz account, so double-check it before you submit.
Install Vobiz
Point your coding agent at Vobiz before you write a line of code. These four resources take you from empty editor to first call.
MCP server
Connect Claude, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client to the Vobiz docs MCP server. Your agent reads the live Vobiz API reference instead of guessing from training data.

The Vobiz × Agora integration bridges an Agora Conversational AI agent to the PSTN over a Vobiz SIP trunk. Outbound runs Agora agent → Vobiz outbound trunk → PSTN; inbound runs caller → Vobiz number → Vobiz inbound trunk → Agora regional SBC, and each direction uses its own trunk configured independently.
How to Integrate Vobiz with Agora for Inbound and Outbound Voice AI Calls
9 min 55 sec
Before you start
Outbound
SIP digest auth
Inbound
Separate trunk per direction
Nine steps: the first five wire up outbound calling, the last four bring calls back in.
Part 1 — Outbound
- 1
Create your Agora agent
In the Agora Console, create an agent from a template. Pick Blank, Appointment Reminder, NPS Survey, Payment Reminder, IVR, Customer Service, or Sales / Lead Qualification.
- 2
Generate a SIP credential
Go to Credentials List and click + Add Credential. Copy the username and password immediately — Vobiz stores the password hashed and never displays it again. A credential is the quickest route and stays valid if Agora changes its IPs.
Prefer an IP allow-list? Agora publishes its outgoing SIP IPs per region. Take the set matching your number's country code and add it under IP Access Control List instead of — or alongside — the credential.
- 3
Create the outbound trunk
Click + Create New Trunk and attach the credential from step 2 under Credentials. Copy the SIP Domain it returns — the format is a1b2c3d4.sip.vobiz.ai, it is unique per trunk and never shared. Without a credential or an IP ACL the trunk cannot authenticate Agora at all.
- 4
Add the number in Agora
Add the phone number in Agora using the SIP Trunk vendor: number in E.164 (+91XXXXXXXXXX), SIP Trunk Address set to your Vobiz SIP domain, transport UDP. Agora marks the username and password optional — they are not. They are exactly what the Vobiz trunk checks.
- 5
Launch an outbound campaign
Launch a campaign naming the agent, the phone number and a contact CSV. Set the timing window and concurrency limits before you start.
Part 2 — Inbound
- 6
Pick the regional SBC
Agora terminates inbound calls on a regional SBC. Pick the one matching your number's country code from the table below.
- 7
Create the origination URI
Create a URI pointing at the Agora SBC for your region, transport UDP, Active on. Agora presents the value as sip:sbc-ap-south.viblinx.com:5060 — the Vobiz field takes domain or domain:port, so paste sbc-ap-south.viblinx.com. Leave the sip: prefix in and it will not save.
- 8
Create the inbound trunk
Create a trunk with the origination URI from step 7 as its Primary URI. Click Link Numbers, select your Vobiz number, confirm. The count updates to Linked Numbers (1) and inbound routing is live.
- 9
Assign the inbound agent
Edit the phone number in Agora, open Inbound Settings, and set Inbound agent to the agent from step 1. Max call duration and Silence timeout are in seconds; leave End call on conversation end and End call on silence on unless you have a reason to hold the leg open.
Regional origination URIs
| Region | URI (TCP/UDP) | Country codes |
|---|---|---|
| United States | sbc-us-west-1.viblinx.com:5060 | +1 |
| Americas, Europe, Oceania, Brazil | sbc-sa-east-1.viblinx.com:5060 | +52, +54, +55, +56, +51, +44, +33, +49, +39, +34, +61, +64 |
| Asia-Pacific, India, Africa | sbc-ap-south.viblinx.com:5060 | +82, +65, +81, +91, +886, +27, +20, +254 |
Each region also offers a TLS endpoint on port 5061. Agora's Set up SIP trunk page is the authoritative list — endpoints and IPs change there first.
Test both legs
Test both legs before you build on top of them.
- Call your Vobiz number from any handset — that's the inbound leg.
- Launch a single-contact campaign to your own number — that's the outbound leg.
- Confirm both legs appear in Vobiz Call Logs.
When it breaks
- 401 / 403 rejection
- Credentials don't match exactly. Confirm the credential is attached to the trunk and its status is Active.
- Calls never reach Vobiz
- The SIP Trunk Address in Agora isn't your trunk domain. It must be <trunk-id>.sip.vobiz.ai.
- Origination URI won't save
- Strip the sip: prefix before saving.
- Inbound rings, agent never answers
- The number isn't linked to the trunk, or the Agora agent is still Unassigned.
- One-way audio
- Your regional SBC doesn't match the number's country code. Switch to the right region.
